Ross' Camp is situated on beautiful Clearwater Lake, one of a chain of lakes that offers an endless supply of breathtaking scenery and some of the best fishing and hunting to be found in Northern Ontario! Our Accommodations

We have 11 comfortable, fully modern deluxe log cottages. Each cottage has its own sun deck facing the water, and we furnish each deck with a picnic table and gas barbecue. Our cottages, recently renovated, are brand-new from floor to ceiling. Each cottage has their own 3-piece bath, Log Cabins thermostatically controlled electric heat, electric lighting, and variable ceiling fans. Our kitchens are fully equipped with cooking utensils, dishes, propane stoves, and electric refrigerators. Towels and linens are provided. You may opt to prepare your own meals or relax with our carefree Complete American Plan package with home-cooked meals served in our main lodge dining room.

    Fishing and Hunting

    Fish for walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, lake trout, and muskies in clean, quiet surroundings on our spectacular chain of lakes. Fish in comfort from our brand-new, extra-wide 16 foot boats, complete with swivel boat seats and powered by dependable 30 hp Yamaha motors and 6 hp trolling motors. Comfortable Boats Our experienced guides prepare you a delicious shorelunch that is unforgettable.

    With one of the largest deer populations in the province, Ross' Camp is exclusively for deer hunters from approximately October 10th to November 15th. This 7-day hunt for bucks only, for non-residents, produces a 70% success rate.

    Outpost Locations

    Our outpost cabins are insulated and heated for both summer and winter use. The cabins are equipped with propane lights, stoves, and refrigerators. You will need to bring your own sleeping bags, towels, and groceries. Don't forget your camera with lots of film. Take your pick...

    Loonhaunt Cabin: At this outpost you can fish for bass, lake trout, northern, and walleye. Loonhaunt Cabin is located on an island with access by a float plane. Six to eight people can be accommodated. The facilities include a solar-powered water pump, hot water and an indoor shower.

    Jackfish Cabin: Jackfish is located 25 miles from the main lodge, with access by boat. Walleye, bass, and northern are abundant at this outpost. After a day's fishing, you will enjoy a swim on the sand beach. This outpost can accommodate parties of 6 to 8 people.

    Ottertail Cabin: This cabin is located 27 miles from the main lodge, with access by boat. There are accommodations for parties of 4 to 6 people. Beautiful Smallmouth Bass Ottertail Cabin is uniquely situated between two lakes with a panoramic view from the cabin. You will have access to both lakes and docks are provided on each. The lakes offer fishing for walleye, bass, and northern.
